Rewriting the Future of Your Organization and Your Life
In their book Mr. Steve Zaffron and. David Logan had discussed the point: ”As people see the world so they behave” which is based on the 3 Laws of Performance:
1. How people perform correlates to how situations occur to them.
2. How a situation occurs arises in language.
3. Future-based language transforms how situations occur to people.
To make this book really worth for reading and understand the real nature of Leadership I think it is worth to do it in combination with another book of David Logan, “Tribal Leadership” where he and his co-authors had explained that every organization is divided into tribes which tribes are differentiated in 5 stages:
1. Life sucks
2. My life sucks
3. I’m great, you suck
4. We’re great
5. Life is great
It is essential for every organization that the tribes shall evolve from one stage to another by expanding their tribes. As for Leaders, to generate outstanding performance of the organization they need to talk to every level of the tribes. Though only 2% percent are able to reach highest performance, Stage 5. Mostly it is possible only by doing something extraordinary.
As a conclusion, to achieve the highest performance, it is meant to do extraordinary things, which may even sound sometimes weird. To assure you that it is possible please take a tour to Zappos Office (example by David Logan), online shopping store, with amazing company’s culture (David Logan had placed them on Stage 4):

Hi Tatiana!
YanıtlaSilThese 5 stages are really great. By using short sentence they reflect what's the situation in an operating business activity. Again, great explanation.

Hi Tatiana,
YanıtlaSilI really enjoyed your post. I haven't read "Tribal Leadership" of David Logan but the analogy of 5 tribes is interesting and i think that it serves as a good point of view for every organization.
a nice and interesting point of view, but somehow people need to change their thinking in order to change their performance and when they start in difficult conditions the changes improve them
YanıtlaSilGood point of analyzing the book and of course making us thinking about the "tribes"
YanıtlaSilWhat I was thinking is in which tribe we are member of and also where does my organization belongs too. I think I will bring this point up in my company as it is a good point to take into consideration in every company of organization where we belong to.
different point of view and a very good combination. Just a big LIKE
