Communication is absolutely essential in our life. As human beings we must comprehend each other in order to avoid misunderstandings between people. In other words we must find the appropriate words to use in our conversations. I work as a teacher and it is difficult to cope with so many students at the same time because students are young and they need our help and advice all the time. We should not offend them if they are not working hard but we must stimulate them in order to learn and improve their results. They need support and inspiration to succeed in life. Something else I would like to mention is the way we as teachers respond or evaluate the students for ex if you are asking a question to the students and their answer is not the right one you must not be so strict and say: you are wrong because you restrict them. We’d better respond by saying I agree with you
but…..In this way we are showing respect towards them and vice versa
as you have mentioned in the post, it is very important to have good communications skills not only at work but also in our social life. The author makes the point that we humans may have very good communications skills with our colleagues or subordinates, but it happens that once we got the position of manager or leader we change.
