The Three Laws of Performance: Rewriting the Future of Your Organization and Your Life

Rewriting our future, what a bombastic statement!!!!  According to the authors there are 3 laws that determine our actions hence the way we perform.  If we understand and apply these laws we can achieve the performance we want and this applies to organizations and individuals as well.
1. How people perform correlates to how situations occur to them. So people actions depend on how they view, percept and experience a situation and not how the situation is.
2. How a situation occurs arises in language. How a situation happens is related with the language and the meaning we assign to words.  We can think how many times it happens in our lives that we misinterpret the language  or misunderstand the situation. So in order to change the situation we need to change the language.
3. Future-based language transforms how situations occur to people. I was intrigued by the concept of default future, basically how life will be if we leave things flow the way they are and nothing happens to interrupt it.  So basically people and organizations have a default future which is also projected by the past but the point is what we won’t our future to be and how this occurs arises in language. Anyone of us can show leader qualities inventing or rewriting the future as we anticipate it to be.
