Since
news and information spread very quickly all around the world, there might be
misunderstanding that you can change everything very fast. On the surface it
may seem so, but after all the dust comes down you see the structure has
changed but what about the nature of human. Does it change so fast?
It
might seem conflicting but while the book’s subtitle reads as “Quick, Effective
Ways to use Social Media to Drive Social Change”, there is no such thing as quick and
sustainably effective.
You’ll note the
term social media doesn’t appear anywhere. Twenty years from now, when who
knows what we will be using to connect with each other, our brains and human
nature will not have changed as dramatically.
In
fact, mental change and action are interactive taking effect on each other.
all your argument have a point, but still if you need to achieve something and in a very short time you need tools and strategies and the book is only giving these two elements
YanıtlaSilDear Mr. Ibrahim,
YanıtlaSilDr. Philip Zimbardo refers to humans as living anachronisms in the world. He does so because we are sorrounded by very quickly changing objects and phenomena and yet we ourselves, are changing really really slowly.
Yet I still think that, compared to a handful of centuries ago, we have stepped up a little gear in speeding with the change of how we see things.
Have yje ways of seeing things changed us or not, I cannot know.

S.K.
Mr Ibrahim
