It is absolutely true that to in order be competent, one of the the most successful person at something, you have to make more and more practice as one English proverb says : "practice makes perfect". In other words, if you really want to be the number one in one field, you have to work very hard.
I would like to make some additions.As for me, those are as important as hardworking in order to come to higher and higher levels,may be to the top position in one field. The first one is talent,which enables you to continue to work increasingly.In other words, the more you get better results, the more you like it and thus you spend more and more time for it day by day. The second one is to focus on one field.There are many examples those try to be very successful , to be the best one in different fields,but they can not go ahead too much,just become somebody at average or a bit better than ordinary ones except some very talented people. The third one is to be able to reach the necessary facilities so that you can have the chance to improve your skills.The first one is not in your hand,but the second one completely depends on your choice while the last one is mainly depends on how much you want to reach the necessary facilities,to enter into the convenient environment,more concretely struggling or in other words, hardworking so we come to the beginning point i.e. the core,the main message of this book.

YanıtlaSilYou analyzed and gave a conclusion about hard working but what about the skills and abilities that people own inborn.If there is no diffence between people why many people try their best cant become very rich or very successful on their interest.I think not only working hard but also chance and their skills are very important.

second : every one can select an activity or field which he think he have the minimum skills in this field
if we require from mr mettyo sayed to be actor or football player i think may he fell
but he focus on table tennis because he found the fundamental skills in this playing

YanıtlaSilI absolutely agree with you about concentrating on one field. Time to be an Aristo has long passed since it is impossible to be fully-competent even in one field. I think you should have some information and ideas about different but necessary parts of life but try to do your best in one field.
