While reading some reviews on this book I saw that they say: “Future Agenda is a unique multi-disciplinary resource that brings together some of the best minds from around the globe to address the great challenges of the next decade.” I do not totally agree on that, it can not be the “unique” one. In my opinion this book to me was a little bit similar to “Spirit level”. It is a book full of some statistics about the near future but some of them seem not so reliable. I believe that it is a contribution to the topics on what is happening in the world today and some thought provoking ideas on how the near future is going to be, but these ideas in my mind seem a little bit exaggerated and tending to lead people in some certain directions… Some statistics and enhancements, they are pretending to be happening in less than 10 years, seem to me not realistic at least compared to the developments of the last 10 years.
If you are interested in how this world works and what is going to happen in the future, I would recommend a documentary “Zeitgeist” which shows some analysis of professors and scientists on how the world’s economy and other things work and what most probably is going to happen.
So in short, this book shows some work collected from some similar books and may be some researches done by Vodafone stuff and also a wonderful marketing strategy that Vodafone has done. It remains just to congratulate the stuff for the hard work.

YanıtlaSilYou are right but not totally because even people can direct to people for the future and it becomes the future agenda.I looks like a paradox but there many things in bussiness life totally can change the way of people shop like internet. No body even me didn't think to buy something on internet for many years ago but now we do many shopping by internet.Even sending flowers...
Erisa this mostly statistical book really makes you think. By doing so we all realize something and everyone in its own way.
YanıtlaSilI have seen ZEITGEIST and have to say that not everything is as by the movie, you can do your own research but it makes you think so I guess the parallelism is correct.
