This book of Marshall Goldsmith was really an outstanding book in my opinion. I think that it should be a must read for the managerial staff but not only, it is a very worthy book for everybody. In my mind, human communications in every level are the basics to succeed. So it helps us to be more aware of our actions so that we can better correct bad behaviors, always try to behave positively and become even more successful.
Section Two: “The Twenty Habits That Hold You Back From The Top” is just by reading the title an excellent, well found heading. All the 20 habits are explained wonderfully and show us that just by some attention and patience we can correct our behavior and be better than our colleagues/ friends expect us.
Section Four: Pulling Out the Stops – Changing Rules. Here the author talks about seven rules which may help people in the way to change. “If you obey them, you will be stacking the deck in your favor” says Goldsmith.
I believe that this book was “The best advice I ever got”, just remains to always remember and apply…
Erisa,
YanıtlaSilI agree with you about the usefulness of the book in daily professional life. It is true that the advices given by the authors of the book can serve a lot in communication with your colleagues, superiors or dependants.
The book is well organized in sections which make you more and more aware about the correctness of the behavior that you should use.
On the other side, the book is very handy in the sense of using it as a “pocket book” because besides advices given by the authors, it paves a very good way about the methods and manners on how to use them.
i hoped i had read this book twenty years before because it has many valuable advices , and it is very simple in the same time
YanıtlaSilfrom time to time we need to remember these advices and re format our minds .
To be smart, it's great
to feel people that you are intelligent and care about them this is the greatest
I would call this book as the best guide to being a succesful man and strongly agree with ur conclusions
YanıtlaSilI agree that this book is very valuable, feels like “opening our eyes”, identifying things and problems that we may never have taken into consideration. The rest remains to us, how much are we willing to change behavior?!
