Predictably Irrational,Dan Ariely

We may be not happy to accept the fact but understanding the book means understanding how many of the things we do are different from the things that we say. Those days with the help of thechnology and all the other accesoriers we control almost everything around us.The only think we can not control is the human behavior. In specific situations we are strongly ruled by our behaviours rather than our logic.

It is really interesting the way people act to the “free”. While waiting in line for something free for hours we can do some work that could gain much more than the real price of that “free” product. When items are free, we are all over them, and would almost do anything to get whatever it is. Although in most cases, what we are getting for free isn't logical. However that’s the way we react even that we know that this is not the best thing to do.

Most people are curious about why they do certain things or act certain ways that have little or no logic to them. It doesn't matter who we are, what status we have, if we graduated from college, we are all vulnerable to this kind of irrational behavior.

Due to my opinion if we have a list of new inventions, controlling the irrational behavior will be the last invention in time. What we must do is try to understand..and try to be social irrational behaving ones.

  1. I think choices are rarely made without a reference to other similar situations (here I mean personal experiences or situation, which we were spectator).

  2. I agree with you when you say that we cannot control our behavior although we believe that we have power over it as we decide what to buy or not to buy. i would say that it happens vice- verse, our ex. human buying behavior influences our decisions. What is causing our irrational behavior is the runway light that the market is placing on either side of us, guiding us to follow the shaped path.
