The more you work on a specific field /topic, the better and much talented you become on that one. It may happen that you don't have talent or the adequate intelligence to continue, but by having a lot of will and practicinig overtime, surely success will come. The main factor of success is just to begin early and devote more time to that activity which they love more. Regarding this I want to tell a real story that happen in Russia. One day a Russian mother after listening to Lenin's speech within that crowd, took her boy, got closed to Lenin and asked him:
-What should I do to make my son as much intelligent as you?-then Lenin asked her:
-How old is he?- the woman replied:
-5 years old- and Lenin replied again:
-Now is too late to achieve that.
From this little story we must understand that we should not loose time, but begin early and work hard to see great results.

YanıtlaSilVery interesting story. Apart from the umpteen hours of training and hard work to be an expert in one field one has to select the proper timing to devote these hours to achieve it.
Similar to that: In a tennis match(I don't recall who was playing) the commentator was saying that one of the players had begun tennis at the age of 3 and the other at the age of five. In his opinion these two years were a determinant handicap for the later player which was going to cost her the match.

YanıtlaSilIt is interesting. Even though I am Russian and one third of my life lived in socialism regime of Russia I have never heard this story. I can assume,of course, these were his words but the same story I read about one scholar. He was mentioning the period of seven years.
By the way the most well-known phrase in Russia said by Lenin is "To study,study and study again". To some extend,it shows the idea of repetition so-practice "to achieve the enlightened future of socialism".
Enea, I believe these stories are very realistic. Once in Russia I was amazed by 2 years and 2 months old baby boy, how he was sliding on the ice with figure skates... In this age most of the kids cant work properly yet.
YanıtlaSilDefinitely he will succeed! But for this baby it is not just practice, talent, etc., coincodence was an important part as well - his mother was an ice skating coach ;-)
Sometimes we can really work hard but to succeed there always shall be something else, as the ability to work hard is given for everybody.
