Book 10.Future Agenda,The world in 2020

The coming years dont look too optimistic for our lives, and our children will face to constrained resources. But surely they will get used with huge development in technology and a more comfortable lifestyle.

There are several aspects of life that we can pretty well guarantee will change slightly, for example by being faster, slower, smaller or bigger than today: faster computers, slower traffic, smaller cars and bigger networks. All of these are relatively predictable – in fact, almost certain.
Over the next ten years, improvements in health, education and living standards will continue to drive population growth. Longer life expectancy will offset the trend towards having fewer children, which means that by 2020 there will be more of us and more of us will be older.

Today, it is perfectly possible to envisage a world where we will all be ‘connected’ – we will be able to communicate with anybody and everybody, anywhere they and we might be. Through these universal interconnections, we will train and learn, educate and entertain, buy and sell, trade and barter. As well as being connected to each other, we will have remote access to our machines (computers, electrical goods, boilers, water pumps and so on).

The human kind history has told us..that man is able to adapt with the nature..So maybe we will not eat organic food, but we will be more healthy than our parents. Our children may not go to the best schools, but surely the best schools will come to our houses via internet..and they will be more smart..Surely some resources may not be found any more, but human kind will invent something better.

When reading about this topic a famous quote came to my mind:

When it comes to the future , there are three kinds of people: those who let it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened.(John M. Richardson, Jr)

And i want to be a part of those people who make it happen..

  1. Hi Ergys,

Very realistic summary, communication and adaptation is our future.
And very nice quote which absolutely describes the way which shapes the lives of the majority of people: "whose who let it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened". Where do we belong?

    Thanks,
    Tatiana

  2. Hi Ergys,
Very nice post and very nice ending. I doubt a bit the fact of people becoming healthier in the future as refering to the present, i think we are much more fragile that in the past.
