The need to understand the importance of focus when allowing our brains to adopt, the need to give time and space to each player during change to advance at their own rate and the neutral pathways we create overtime are very strong points in this book. Most often than non-CEOs have known about the upcoming change well before the team they are leading. Their expectations are not always aligned in allowing for the necessary time to integrate the idea of change, and lastly the point the author made about backsliding which reminds us of the benefits of executive coaching especially from coaches who have international and intercultural professional ecperience. They know the cultural prespective, values attitudes and beliefs which come with how to influence people from diverse backgrounds.

This book is worth reading for the model presented and reminder that one must keep both the mind and ears open to effectively change others.
