BOUNCE

As the name goes, this book really gives bounce to people who want to achieve something good/extra-ordinary in life. From the graphic in the book we understand 10000 hours of practice during 20 years makes a person the best/top or at least a professional. If you calculate, it makes 500 hours a year. That makes nearly one and half an hour a day to be top. If you are doing a job as a profession, it is not a lot. In the history there was a Turkish scientist called “Ibn-i Sina” who is considered as “the father of medicine”. Once they asked him how he reached that level and he answered as “by studying for two hours everyday after morning prayer”. But there is something else here that should be added that he was a genious. And when they called Isaac Newton as a genious he explained that 99% of being a genious comes from hardwork and only 1% comes from inspiration.
As a result we understand that you can become somebody in any field if you practice 10000 hours but talent and being genious also plays a role here.

  1. I am not sure about the precentages i.e. how many percent comes from talent and how many percent from struggling, but it is obvious that they are the main factors of reaching the top levels in any field.According to me, there is also one more factor i.e. the will to do something, but it is mostly related with talent.Because, if you have talent, you get good results in a short period of time, which motivates you and leads you to spend more and more time on that field. The remaining part of it depends on your character.

  2. it is right but...
when we speak about genius also they need to practice
if he dosn't practice this level of genius will decrease , so and genius are need this kind of practice , may they don't need 10000 hours .

  3. Most of genious are also like the job they do, so inspiration, satisfaction and joy from the work you do is also very important. And sistematic parctice is a big plus to be, as Saimir wrote, the "Champion of Champions"!
