In the book, all the don'ts to be more successful in business life (some of them are also valid for social, private life) are explained very well theoratically and practically through basing on real cases. To my mind, one of them is much more important than the others i.e. winning too much.As the author says, it is the factor which underlies all the factors mentioned in the book.
Competition is a factor which is necessary a) to keep entrepreneurs active, dynamic, creative b) to force them to pay attention for total quality, ethic rules, customer satisfaction c) to balance market economies which is necessary to protect all the parts as well as for a stable and sustainable economic growth. In today's global world, unfortunately, there is no competition, but overcompetition-to be always successful at any cost- exists. All the organizations, countries are trying to produce more and more to get higher and higher financial results. The main players, who give direction the world economy are just thinking of getting higher and higher economic growth results instead of having a stable and sustainable economic growth .The result is more often and longlasting global economic crises. As you know, we have been living the last one for several years and nobody knows when it will end.
Overcompetition means overproduction, overconsumption and as a result of them:economic crisis. That phenomena don't affect negatively only most people's lives, but more importantly the world's future as they cause to run out of natural resources,to change climate and to have more natural disasters.
Dear Turan,
YanıtlaSilI guess winning too much also make people robotic focusing only on one point and failing on the others. Life should be kept on balance. Without balance, today or tomorrow, the chaos is bound to be faced.
