Billions of Entrepreneurs:

Writing a book about China and India indirectly means that you have a guaranteed audience and good sales of your book. The challenge is how to make it interesting to the other parts of the world as well, and by putting a book subtitle like “How China and India Are Reshaping Their Futures--and Yours, you automatically kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Everybody in this class is familiar with the great economic power these two countries are exhibiting and with the challenges they are introducing to the Western World. Actually many scholars are becoming interested in predicting the time in which GDP per Capita of China/India will reach that of the western countries or even the time in which US will relay its economical hegemony to China or India.

But in all of these studies I’ve encountered, China and India are seen as a single entity. They’re seen as two giant cats whose color is not important as long as they catch mice.

What this book attempts to do instead, is to try to color these cats, try to show that according to their idiosyncrasies, they have developed different tactics in catching ‘mice’.

Will these tactics result successful in the goal of ‘catching mice’?

Scholars and academics of our generation say “We’ll see” ;-)

  1. Dear Saimir,
Your beginning of the post was really nice, I enjoyed it. “Writing a book about China and India indirectly means that you have a guaranteed audience and good sales of your book…. “How China and India Are Reshaping Their Futures--and Yours”, you automatically kill 2 birds with 1 stone.” The development part and the ending was also well found. I agree with your opinion and I believe time shows everything, being pragmatic, I confirm “we’ll see” how successful these tactics will result.

  2. The two countries fulfill each other and as such they can be considered as one. How much time this symbiotic relationship will last is the question. Hopefully we will be here and see........

  3. Saimir it is kind of scary what the future will provide. The duality of these countries may forever change the history of the world. I believe this will change in the following five years and than the world will never be the same again.....
